Atmosphere was very relaxed but upbeat. Staff provided outstanding customer service! Chips and salsa kept coming. Chips were hot and fresh. Salsa was outstanding, just the right heat. The Chicken Ixtapa was full-flavor delicious and plentiful! Food came out really fast. The margaritas were outstanding! The pricing was very reasonable. Definite stop if in the area.

I am 65 years of age. When I graduated High School, I used all of my graduation money to go to (then called Monterey House) Monterey's Little Mexico. Ate there every day till the money ran out. $1200.00 back in 1970. Today, I still love their food, and when I am in Humble, Texas I stop by and grab some of their enchilada's and guacamole. Pickled jalapeno's and cheese dip. Sweet tea and I am 18 years old again!

Ok, so let me explain the 5 stars.....i am not implying this is a 5* restaurant, but more so, the restaurant delivers! It's not the high price Tex-Mex chains and it's not the delicious family owned small less expensive establishments. It's right in the middle!! The margs are great, I've never received bad service (we go during lunch or evenings before 7) and the food is quick, consistent and good!! Hence 5 stars! Must try: Stuffed Avocado with shrimp, their rice and charro beans. Decent: their queso and salsa. So this is weird but it's worth a mention as my husband is allergic to celery, but there is celery in the queso?? Wasn't a fluke or one off. We tried it three times each time celery. Just an FYI if somebody else has the same allergy. I'm not allergic to celery and I really enjoyed the queso! Not a fan: the guacamole. For how good their food is I was expecting more flavor and a little bit bigger of a portion. Would not order it again. This is a great happy hour spot and a place for good quick food. They're also great with children!
