Monterey's Team Joins Frontier Day Celebration
Once again, the staff of Monterey’s Little Mexico in Alvin, Texas showed their support and participated in the 32nd Annual Frontier Day Celebration Parade on Saturday, April 26, 2008. This is one of the biggest events in Alvin. Frontier Day is hosted by the Alvin Rotary Club as a fundraiser to support local scholarships and other charitable activities in the Alvin area.
The team gathered together early in the morning to decorate the truck that was driven in the parade. Members of our staff, the general manager, regional manger and some of the employee’s children all walked along the parade route handing out candy, toys, cookies and coupons from Monterey’s Little Mexico.
Sean Gonzalez, regional manager for Monterey’s Little Mexico stated, “We arrived at 6:00 a.m. so we could be the first in line for the parade. This is a big event and there was a great turn-out of spectators to watch the parade. People along the parade route really liked receiving the candy, toys, coupons and cookies we handed out. We really had fun participating and it’s great knowing that we were part of something that raised money for a good cause for our community.”
